Pond painting for a friend of mine
This last month a friend asked me to paint her pond, so I had the opportunity to photograph and paint a scene.
It is fun to interpret a photograph into a painting as you will see here. As Picasso said to Gertrude Stein ” You don’t paint what you see, you paint what you know.”
Port Townsend Harbor
On a beautiful day in Port Townsend I stopped by the Marina and photographed several boats.
It was fun painting this in a little more abstract manner.

Stop by our local frame shop and see some of my work!
Wow!
Sometimes at the end of a day of painting I wonder where there is more paint? On the canvas or on me?
I guess it is called getting involved.
Creativity comes in many ways
Photoshop gives us the rare opportunity to embrace our creative minds with technology. This is a photo some anonymous person posted on Facebook, and I really don’t post political cartoons on my blog, but this is pretty creative.
Even if you like or don’t like Obama and Biden you should enjoy the creative mind.
Red Wall
Sometimes in our art, we “hit a wall”. Why not make it a creative one?
