The last few days it has been nice enough to work in my garden, one of the other things I love.
The other day my friend Derek Gundy asked the question on his Facebook page, what is your most productive time of day!
I used to be a “Morning Person”, as I have gotten older I feel the need to take my long walk when I first get up, after doing my blog, my Facebook and my Email. Maybe I was more of a a “Morning” person, when you did not have to do so many things before you could start your real day.
What is your most productive part of the day?
On a beautiful day in Port Townsend I stopped by the Marina and photographed several boats.
It was fun painting this in a little more abstract manner.
This photo looked so peaceful to me. I wanted to capture the feeling of quiet seclusion. Perhaps we all want a little quiet seclusion once in a while. When I work in my studio that peacefulness takes over my life. Sometimes the music is loud and sometimes not, but the power of aloneness with my art is powerful to me.
Sometimes simple little water color sketches can catch the essence of the day. It is so gray outside in lovely Kingston, Washington I decided a sunny little of sketch of one of my favorite boats might brighten the day.
