Holly and Leah just moved back from New Zealand and for their return I made them two T-shirt dresses each as a Welcome Home gift. They liked them so much they are wearing them every day, so I made two more for them today! Hope they like them. Nice to have them back in the states.
T-shirt dresses
Cupcakes for Holly
Holly is five and when I saw this fabric, thought it could make another “fast & Furious” T-shirt dress. I buy the T-0shirts at Walmart for under $5.00 and the fabric where ever I can find it. This fabric is from Walmart and it took about a yard at $3.00 a yard, so here is a way to make a really fun little dress for literally pennies. I am going to start making sun hats to match the dresses. I made a couple yesterday to match dresses I made in the past and they were so easy, I thought I would make more. Maybe I should try to think of a way to market these, so I actually make a little money. For now I am just having a great time sewing again after not for over 40 years.
Meet Me in Paris
This is another one of my “Fast & Furious” dresses. I had fabric left over from a Fund Raiser I helped on for the Boys & Girls Club, and thought it might be interpreted into a cute T-shirt dress. I am starting to think taking a larger piece and adding it to the top of the dress is more fun than something small. Most people just add a small appliqué to the bodice and it looks a little floaty, so I thought I would try something slightly different. I loved Paris and hope to go back again soon.
