Going with a bit of a Paris theme in this dress with a matching headband. Size 3T and will be for sale when I get a both or part of a both in Poulsbo. Watch for announcement.

One more T-Shirt Dress
The bright flowers captured my attention and rather than just put one, I left them connected and added a two and brought them down to the waist. These projects are fast and fun and since my granddaughter now has more than she needs, maybe I should start selling them? Etsy, Farmers Market or Ebay? What do you think, or maybe a local store?
New use of Planes Head
They make a rather odd model for my hats, but they seem to fit and you can see what they look like. Thought I would add the dresses that the hats are for. I put off making them, but they were much easier than AI ever thought they would be. Trying to think how to make a business with this. One that actually makes money. Any ideas? Maybe I will make some and put them on Etsy and see what happens. I do have an Art Show next month, so would be painting. I can do that with the bandaid decorating my hand from my slash earlier or should I say my encounter with the rotary cutter. I do now acknowledge that they are quite sharp.

Cupcakes for Holly
Holly is five and when I saw this fabric, thought it could make another “fast & Furious” T-shirt dress. I buy the T-0shirts at Walmart for under $5.00 and the fabric where ever I can find it. This fabric is from Walmart and it took about a yard at $3.00 a yard, so here is a way to make a really fun little dress for literally pennies. I am going to start making sun hats to match the dresses. I made a couple yesterday to match dresses I made in the past and they were so easy, I thought I would make more. Maybe I should try to think of a way to market these, so I actually make a little money. For now I am just having a great time sewing again after not for over 40 years.
Leah’s New Dress
As I continue sewing and exploring fabrics and patterns I am starting to discover some things about modern patterns. Some leave out important instructions, some (like this one one) take too much fabric and could have been designed to have the same effect using a lot less fabric. If this dress were made for a two year old it might be too heavy for her to wear comfortably , even in a lightweight cotton.
Next on my horizon is buying mannequins the sizes of my three granddaughters so I can make the dress, and play clothes to fit even though they are not here.
Last night after a quiet Easter, thinking about Easter’s in the past I realized I missed the egg hunts and Easter Brunches when my sons were small and now so look forward to having them once again as my two granddaughters come back form New Zealand, and hopefully my granddaughter Claire can come or move closer. Having time to spend with these beautiful girls is so rewarding.
Easter is a time for family and friends, and I can honestly say I missed mine this year, but it was nice to spend time making something for one of my special granddaughters.
Fast & Furious Dressing for Preschool
Two very quick and very inexpensive dresses for play. The T-shirts were on sale at Walmart for $2.00 and the half a yard of fabric was $1.50. Add a little stabilizer around the bottom of the T-shirt after you cut it off. Gather the skirt with a Gathering Foot, add a hem and you have quick and cheap play clothes.
